With Valentines Day right around the corner I wanted to put together some fun stay-at-home date night ideas. Being that Valentine’s is on a Thursday this year, I really wanted to avoid the crowds of people and plan a nice romantic evening in. If you have littles and don’t have a sitter for the evening… I’ve got you covered! All these ideas can be done once you put those babies to bed!
Order Take-out. No one really wants to spend hours in the kitchen cooking and cleaning up on Valentine’s. I say, you order in your favorite food, break out some candles and have a nice romantic candlelit dinner for two! We like to use Grubhub or Doordash for our deliveries.
Remember When Box. I saw this idea and thought it was super cute! While your waiting for your food to arrive, each of you sit down and write 5 of your favorite memories together on a small piece of paper. Place the papers in a bowl and while your eating dinner; take turns drawing a “memory” from the bowl and taking about it!
Create a Playlist. If you have a Spotify account, create a romantic playlist of some of your favorite songs (ie. your wedding song.) If you can’t think of any songs here are a couple playlists I think would work great! HERE and HERE.
Make Desert. What’s more romantic and cooking together in the kitchen, I mean something simple like cookies… or already having a pre-made desert ready! You can always find chocolate covered strawberries ready to go at the store or make them together.
Soak it up. Grab some foot scrub, face masks and candles to relax, unwind and indulge! It’s as easy at it sounds. A few flickering candles throughout the room and on the ledge help create the mood. Get your favorite wine- or a can of Budweiser to make it special.
Couples Massage. Last but not least giving each other a massage is the perfect way to end the night! Spend 10 minutes on a body part of each others choosing using your favorite essential oil.
And there you have it, some cheap and fun Valentine’s at home date night ideas! Valentine’s Day doesn’t have to break the bank to be super romantic and special.
It really is what is in your heart that counts!
What are your planes for Valentine’s Day?
I’d love to hear about them in the comment section below!
